Frank V. Galla Jr., 82, of Hamden, beloved husband of Eileen L. Galla of East Haven was called to be with the Lord on July 5th. He was the son of the late Frank V. and Alexandra “Alice” Galla Sr. of Bridgeport.
Frank is survived by brother, Robert “Bob” (Jane) Galla of Oxford and his three children, Sherry (John) Baldino of East Haven; Christopher (Rebecca) Galla of Colorado Springs, CO, and Joseph (Jennifer) Galla of Oxford. He also leaves behind fourteen grandchildren and one great grandchild.
He worked as a salesman for Sunshine Biscuits, Bachman, and as a Territory Manager for Keebler. He retired from Kellogg/Keebler in 2002 but remained a subcontractor for them for several years. He was well respected for his work ethic and integrity. Frank was well known for his store product displays in major chain grocery stores like Stop & Shop, Shop Rite and Big Y throughout Connecticut.
Frank enjoyed action movies, tennis, golf, many sports, playing Candy Crush, Scrabble, bird watching, yard work and some travel.
Frank was a member of VOX Church, North Haven. He read his bible daily and attended men’s prayer groups. He live-streamed Sunday services while sick these last years.
Great thanks to Angie’s Prestige Homecare and Nurse’s Aide Zeta, who cared for Frank’s physical and spiritual needs until his passing. Zeta prayed for and with Frank many nights in the last weeks of his life. She was a true blessing and servant of the Lord.
