Our beloved Frances passed away peacefully on Thursday; May 6, 2021 surrounded by her loving family after a valiant battle with COVID-19. Frances was a wonder. She overcame adversity and thrived. A 30 year Stop & Shop employee first in Darien, then Stratford and Shelton, CT. She also worked part time as a security guard on weekends, which was one of her lifelong dreams. Fran was an avid Yankees fan and loved Derek Jeter. She was honored to participate in the Special Olympics. Fran loved music, Judge Judy and hanging out with her family. She loved us whole heartedly and unconditionally. She was happy. She was strong. She was courageous. We were so lucky to know her and love her.
Fran is preceded in death by her darling mother Joan Hamilton Lohnes. She is survived by her father, Jack (Barbara Whitall) Lohnes. Her siblings, John, Chris (Lenore), Elizabeth (Steve Cinque BFF), Tim (Darlene), Mary (Ken McCollon) and Luke (Laura). Her nieces and nephews, Joshua (Melissa) and children Chloe and Indy, John (Courtney), Dexter (Jericha), Chris, Morgan Pearson and son Charlie. Bethany Cinque (Ashley Estep), Matthew Cinque. Joni Lohnes Besse (Jay) and children Sarah, Mary and Nicholas. Luke (Brittany) and children Amelia and Luke, Jake Altman, Jameson Lohnes, Theadosia (Matt Mikolajczyk) and her beloved Aunt Libby, (Elizabeth Hamilton Mueller) and many loved cousins.
The family would like to thank Dr. Michael Buscher and the amazing nurses of Bridgeport Hospital MICU for their compassion, guidance and support for Fran. And for all the lives you are trying to save.

Services will be held in the Memorial Garden at Christ Episcopal Church 200 Main Street, Stratford, CT 06615 on Saturday, June 12 at 11:00 am.
